maison sauvage was established in 2009 by German ceramic designer Nicole Mueller (1979) as a platform
for contemporary ceramic design and related disciplines.
Mueller trained and worked as a ceramicist before graduating with an MA in Design from Central Saint Martins College
of Art and Design in London. Her work is driven by the constant search for a right balance between the flawless perfection
of industrial manufacturing, the profound authenticity of traditional craft skills and the beauty of a contemporary conceptual
design approach. Currently, she holds an artist-in-residence position for the year 2011/2012 at UCA Farnham.
The maison sauvage product range changes seasonal and is available on a limited scale.
